The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Mai Kawai (172-1996) who scored 13 points and 8 assists. Senegalese center Sokhna Sylla (200-1997) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Denso I.'s coach Vladimir Vuksanovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-1993, college: Queens, NY) who recorded 29 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively.

Toyota A. made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Sunshine R. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international guard Miyu Okamoto (179-2001) who led her team to a victory with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian center Amaka Okonkwo (186-2002) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian center Jessica Wariebimo (188-2005) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Misora Inami (167-2003) added 10 points in the effort for Sunshine R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
