American Forward Mitch Lightfoot (203-F-1997, agency: Slash Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kumamoto Volters, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 46.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Fukushima (#2, 33-13) with 21-point margin 98-77. Volters maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kumamoto V. will need more victories to improve their 27-19 record. In the team's last game Lightfoot had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Volters and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former University of Kansas star has very solid stats this year. Lightfoot is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Max Hisatake (203-C-1998) of Aomori Watts. Hisatake had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Watts lost that game 70-90 to the higher-ranked Shinshu BW (#1, 36-10). Aomori W. managed to keep the same 6th spot in East. 36 lost games are too many comparing to just ten victories Watts managed to get this year. Hisatake is well-known at Aomori W. and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Shaquille Hines (201-PF-1993) of league's second-best Ehime Orange Vikings. Hines showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Orange Vikings, leading his team to a 75-68 win against #4 ranked Kagoshima in a game of the week. Ehime needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 30 victories and 16 lost games. Hines has a great season in Japan. After 46 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (8th best) and assists with 4.6apg (9th best).
