Center Mutombo Jean-Pierre (206-C-2002) put on an amazing game in the last round for Niigata Albirex, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 42.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Tachikawa (#7, 22-18) 83-79. Albirex maintains the 5th position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Niigata A. will need more victories to improve their 25-17 record. It's Jean-Pierre's second year at Albirex and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Mutombo Jean-Pierre averages this season 11.5ppg and 8.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jeremy Combs (201-F/C-1995) of Earthfriends Tokyo Z. Combs had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Earthfriends cruised to a 74-64 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Gifu (#9, 18-22). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Tokyo Z keeps 12th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 15-27 record. Combs is a newcomer at Tokyo Z, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#4). He also registered 8.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was New Zealand forward Hyrum Harris (204-F-1996) of Kanazawa Samuraiz (#10). Harris showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Samuraiz, leading his team to a 98-77 easy win against the higher-ranked Tokushima Gam. (#3, 32-10). The chances of Kanazawa ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 22 games, recording just eighteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Harris could help Kanazawa to bring them higher in the standings. Harris has a great season in Japan. After 35 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.0apg (7th best). He also has 2.1spg and a FGP of 53.4%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
