Boyd III's 53-point game gives him B2 League Player of the Week award

27-year old American guard Tray Boyd III (193-G-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for Yokohama Excellence and receives a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 42.
He had the game-high 53 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for Yokohama EX as his team lost the game against Kobe S. (#1, 37-5) 114-120. Excellence maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Yokohama will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 26-15 record. In the team's last game Boyd III had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 14 attempts. It's his second year at Excellence and it's hard to imagine this team without him. East Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Boyd III is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.3ppg. Boyd III is in league's top in and averages solid 51.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mitch Lightfoot (203-F-1997, agency: Slash Sports) of Kumamoto Volters. He is American forward in his second season at Kumamoto V.. In the last game Lightfoot recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Volters to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#6, 13-29) 101-63. Kumamoto V.'s 4th position in West has not changed. His team's 23-19 record is not bad at all. Lightfoot is well-known at Kumamoto V. and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Shuto Terazono (172-PG-1994) of league's leader Kobe Storks. Terazono scored 25 points and passed 12 assists (!!!). He was a key player of Storks, leading his team to a 120-114 win against #3 ranked Yokohama EX in a game of the week. Kobe S. confirms their top position in East. Terazono has a great season in Japan. After 41 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.4apg (4th best).
