American Josh Scott (210-C/F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) had a great game in the last round for Okayama Try Hoop, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 39.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Tokushima Gam. (#1, 30-8) 87-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Try Hoop maintains the 4th position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Okayama will need more victories to improve their 24-14 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Scott as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former University of Colorado star has very solid stats this year. Scott is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.1rpg) and averages impressive 62.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young New Zealand Hyrum Harris (204-F-1996) of Kanazawa Samuraiz. Harris had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Samuraiz to edge the lower-ranked Yamaguchi (#13, 10-30) 73-69. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Kanazawa managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 17-19 record. Harris is a newcomer at Kanazawa, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) of Tachikawa Dice (#7). Fitzgerald showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Fitzgerald's great performance the Dice lost 76-98 to the higher-ranked Kagawa FA (#2, 29-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tachikawa needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 19 victories and 17 lost games. Fitzgerald has a great season in Japan. After 36 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (4th best).
