American Stanley Johnson (201-SF-1996) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Nagasaki Velca and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 38.
The 29-year old had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Nagasaki in his team's victory, helping them to crush Gunma CT (#5, 24-15) with 17-point margin 97-80. It allowed Velca to consolidate first place in the Japanese B1 League. Nagasaki have a solid 33-6 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Velca's top player in his first season with the team. University of Arizona graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (4th best: 22.7ppg) and averages solid 53.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Dwayne Evans (201-F-1992, agency: Pensack Sports) of Hiroshima Dragonflies. Evans impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Dragonflies to another comfortable win 94-81 over the lower-ranked Shiga L-Stars (#11, 13-26) being unquestionably team leader. Hiroshima D.'s 5th position in West has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 23-16 record is not bad and everything may still change. Evans is one of the most experienced players at Hiroshima D. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Cuban Reynaldo Garcia (187-G-1990) of Saga Ballooners (#6). Garcia scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Garcia's great performance the Ballooners lost 71-78 to the higher-ranked Alvark Tokyo (#2, 27-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Saga B. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the West. Their record is 21 victories and 18 lost games. Garcia has a very solid season. In 18 games in Japan he scored 15.3ppg. He also has 5.8rpg, 3.8apg, 2.1spg and a FGP of 62.3%.
