American Forward Mitch Lightfoot (203-F-1997, agency: Slash Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kumamoto Volters, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 36.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Kagoshima (#4, 18-17) with 17-point margin 102-85. Volters is placed at 3rd position in Japanese B2 League. Kumamoto V. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 19-17 record. In the team's last game Lightfoot had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Volters and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former University of Kansas star has very solid stats this year. Lightfoot is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 10.2rpg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 61.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Mitchell Watt (208-C-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's second-best Ehime Orange Vikings. Watt had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Orange Vikings to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#6, 13-23) 98-65. Ehime's second position in West has not changed. His team's 23-13 record is not bad at all. Watt is a newcomer at Ehime, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) of league's top team Kobe Storks. Childs scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Storks, leading his team to a 94-78 easy win against #2 ranked Fukushima in a game of the week. Kobe S. confirms their top position in East. Childs has a great season in Japan. After 36 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
