Guamanian-American Guard Earnest Ross (198-G-1991, agency: Haylett Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shanan United, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 33.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (34 points, five rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Okayama (#4, 21-11) 94-87. United maintains the 9th position in Japanese B3 League. Shanan Utd is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-18 record. In the team's last game Ross had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be United's top player in his first season with the team. Earnest Ross averages this season 14.4ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American LJ Peak (196-F/G-1996) of Tachikawa Dice. Peak had a very good evening with 29 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Dice cruised to a 97-88 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Kanazawa (#10, 12-18). Tachikawa's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Peak is a newcomer at Tachikawa, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.9ppg (#2). He also registered 5.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Damonte Dodd (211-C/F-1994) of Veertien Mie (#15). Dodd scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Dodd's great performance the Veertien Mie lost 72-88 to the higher-ranked Tokushima Gam. (#1, 26-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Veertien Mie can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 7-23 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Dodd has individually a great season in Japan. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (7th best).
