B3 League top team - Gambarous (25-6) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Veertien Mie (7-22) in Yokkaichi 88-72. Tokushima Gam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Yusuke Tsunai (185-1996) chipped in 9 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokushima Gam. maintains first place with 25-6 record. Veertien Mie at the other side stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. Tokushima Gam. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Veertien Mie will play at home against the league's leader Tokushima Gam. (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Niigata A. at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Tokyo Utd will play against higher ranked Niigata A. (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Niigata A. will have a break next round.
An interesting game took place in Kanagawa where 4th placed Try Hoop (20-11) was upset on the court of ninth ranked United (14-17) 94-87 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Try Hoop. The best player for the winners was Earnest Ross who scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Cherif Sow who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shanan Utd maintains ninth place with 14-17 record. Loser Try Hoop keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Shanan Utd will meet at home higher ranked Okayama (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Okayama will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 33: Gifu lost to Saitama on the opponent's court 62-77. Shinagawa was outscored by Tokyo in a home game 63-105. Kanazawa recorded a loss to Tachikawa on the road 97-88. Yamaguchi was defeated by Kagawa on its own court 67-77.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 7 rebounds by Bostyn Holt of Yamaguchi.



Saitama - Gifu 77-62

Very expected game in Saitama where 6th ranked Swoops (17-14) were defeated by second ranked Broncos (23-8) 77-62 on Saturday. Saitama dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Swoops's 24. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Devin Oliver (203-1992, college: Dayton) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Kennedy Meeks (208-1995, college: UNC, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Broncos players scored in double figures. Broncos' coach Shugaku Izumi used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) who recorded 8 points and 18 rebounds and forward Jordan Giles (200-1998, college: UMKC, agency: One Motive Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Broncos have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Saitama maintains second place with 23-8 record having just two points less than leader Tokushima Gam.
