26-year old American power forward Tanner Groves (208-F/C-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Saga Ballooners and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Shimane SM (#7, 17-16) 95-88. Ballooners maintains the 6th position in their group in the Japanese league. Saga B. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 18-15 record. In the team's last game Groves had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Ballooners's top player in his first season with the team. Tanner Groves averages this season 17.6ppg and 8.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Sean O'Mara (208-F/C-1995) of Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya. He is American forward in his 3rd season at FE Nagoya. In the last game O'Mara recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Fighting Eagles lost that game 89-94 to slightly higher-ranked Osaka E. (#9, 14-19). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. FE Nagoya keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-20 record. O'Mara is one of the most experienced players at FE Nagoya and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jarrett Culver (198-G-1999) of Sendai 89ers (#6). Culver got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was a key player of 89ers, leading his team to a 89-81 win against the lower-ranked Kawasaki BT (#12, 8-25). Sendai 89ers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in East. Their record at this point is 20 victories and 13 lost games. Culver has a great season in Japan. After 33 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.7ppg (best scorer).
