American Power forward Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Kobe Storks, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Fukui B. (#4, 18-14) 97-84. It allowed Storks to consolidate first place in the Japanese B2 League. Kobe S. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 29-3. In the team's last game Childs had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Storks's top player in his first season with the team. Former Brigham Young University star has very solid stats this year. Childs is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.8ppg) and averages impressive 53.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Egyptian Patrick Gardner (211-C-1999) of league's second-best Fukushima Firebonds. Gardner had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Firebonds was edged by slightly lower-ranked Yokohama EX (#3, 23-8) 83-80. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Fukushima still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 24-8 record is not bad at all. Gardner is a newcomer at Fukushima, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tim Dalger (201-F-2000) of Aomori Watts (#7). Dalger scored 27 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Watts, leading his team to a 75-66 win against the higher-ranked Shinshu BW (#1, 24-8). Aomori W. can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 6-26 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Dalger has a very solid season. In 25 games in Japan he scored 9.7ppg.
