32-year old USA-NGRn swingman David Nwaba (195-G/F-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for San-en NeoPhoenix and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for San-en NP in his team's victory, helping them to beat Akita NH (#13, 5-25) 85-72. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in East. NeoPhoenix maintains the 9th position in their group in the Japanese league. San-en NP is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-17 record. In the team's last game Nwaba had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at NeoPhoenix and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nwaba is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.7ppg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 63.4% FGP. Worth to mention Nwaba played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Damien Inglis (206-F/C-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) of Yokohama B-Corsairs. He is French forward in his second season at Yokohama BC. In the last game Inglis recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as B-Corsairs lost that game 78-91 to the higher-ranked Nagasaki (#1, 27-3). Yokohama BC managed to keep the same 7th spot in East. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-19 record. Inglis is well-known at Yokohama BC and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Tyler Cook (206-PF-1997) of Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots (#10). Cook showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Robots, leading his team to a 88-61 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Shiga L-Stars (#11, 11-19). The chances of Ibaraki R. not to end season at such low position in East, however are less than slim as they have already lost 21 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Cook could try to bring Ibaraki R.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Cook has a very solid season. In 25 games in Japan he scored 13.4ppg. He also has 7.1rpg and a FGP of 55.0%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
