30-year old PUR-USAn swingman Davon Reed (198-G/F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Fukuoka Rizing and receives a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 28.
He had the game-high 37 points adding three rebounds and four assists for Fukuoka R. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Shizuoka (#7, 6-22) 97-88. Rizing is placed at 4th position in Japanese B2 League. Fukuoka R. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-16 record. In the team's last game Reed had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Rizing's top player in his first season with the team. Davon Reed averages this season 12.8ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Gregory Echenique (208-C-1990, agency: Pensack Sports) of Kumamoto Volters. He is Venezuelan center in his 2nd season at Kumamoto V.. In the last game Echenique recorded an impressive 28 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Volters lost that game 84-90 to the higher-ranked Shinshu BW (#2, 21-7). This loss caused Kumamoto V. to drop to 5th position in West. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-17 record. Echenique is well-known at Kumamoto V. and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Clay Mounce (199-F-1998, agency: Slash Sports) of Iwate Big Bulls (#5). Mounce showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Mounce's great performance the Big Bulls lost 66-83 to the higher-ranked Fukushima (#1, 24-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Iwate can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 8-20 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Mounce has individually a great season in Japan. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.7ppg (3rd best).
