American Swingman Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-G/F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kagoshima Rebnise, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Fukushima (#1, 22-4) 118-113. Rebnise maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. Kagoshima is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-13 record. In the team's last game Gaines Jr. had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Rebnise, through which he has constantly improved. Former Louisiana Christian University star has very solid stats this year. Gaines Jr. is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.3ppg) and averages impressive 59.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Spanish Pablo Aguilar (204-PF-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) of Fukuoka Rizing. Aguilar had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led Rizing to another comfortable win 79-65 over slightly lower-ranked Aomori W. (#7, 4-22) being unquestionably team leader. Fukuoka R.'s 5th position in West has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-15 record. Aguilar is one of the most experienced players at Fukuoka R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Tray Boyd III (193-G-1998) of Yokohama Excellence (#3). Boyd III got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and ten assists. He was a key player of Excellence, leading his team to a 89-82 win against the lower-ranked Yamagata (#6, 6-20). Yokohama needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in East. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 8 lost games. Boyd III has a great season in Japan. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.1ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.3apg (9th best).
