American Center Even Brauns (206-C-2002, agency: Diamond Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Yamaguch Pats Five, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Tokushima Gam. (#1, 18-4) 109-111. Pats Five maintains the 14th position in Japanese B3 League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 18 games and recorded just six victories. Brauns turned to be Pats Five's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Iowa star has very solid stats this year. Brauns is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 9.5rpg) and averages impressive 63.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tucker Haymond (195-G-1994) of Kagawa Five Arrows. Haymond had a very good evening with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Five Arrows to another comfortable win 91-76 over slightly higher-ranked Niigata A. (#2, 16-8) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Kagawa consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 15-5 record is not bad at all. Haymond is a newcomer at Kagawa, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Victor Hart (203-F-2001) of Shinagawa City Basketball Club (#13). Hart got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds . Despite Hart's great performance the Shinagawa lost 65-75 to the higher-ranked Saitama (#6, 13-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Shinagawa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-16 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hart has individually a great season in Japan. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (4th best). He also has 2.8spg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 56.0%.
