Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 20 in the B1 League took place in Chiba. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Dolphins (17-3) to third ranked Jets (16-4) 87-86 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dolphins. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Chiba Jets made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. The former international swingman Keita Imamura (191-1996) produced 20 points for the guests. Dolphins' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba Jets keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hokkaido L. and Tochigi Brex. Nagoya DD at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Chiba Jets is looking forward to face Kawasaki (#11) in Kanagawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nagoya DD will play on the road against Ryukyu (#4) in Okinawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Tochigi Brex delivered the sixteenth victory. This time they beat 12th ranked Happinets (3-17) 86-81. The former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (191-1990) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Isaac Fotu contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Australian power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for Akita NH. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-4 record, which they share with Chiba Jets and Hokkaido L. Akita NH lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Ibaraki R.. Tochigi Brex will play against Osaka E. (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akita NH will play against Sendai 89ers (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Leader Velca recorded the eighteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Alphas (8-12) 99-76 in Nagasaki. Worth to mention a quality performance of Stanley Johnson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Sekou Doumbouya responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Velca (18-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Nagasaki maintains first position. Loser Alphas keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Nagasaki will meet Hiroshima D. (#5) on the road in the next round. Koshigaya A. will play against Ibaraki R. and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 20 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Ryukyu defeated Hiroshima D. in Okinawa 74-68. Kyoto H. was beaten by Kawasaki at home 77-80. Chiba destroyed Osaka E. on the opponent's court 93-68. Saga B. managed to outperform Alvark Tokyo in a home game 90-77. FE Nagoya managed to beat Sendai 89ers on the road 70-57. Sunrockers Sh. was defeated by Hokkaido L. on its own court 94-100. Gunma CT was beaten by Toyama G. in a road game 91-82. Ibaraki R. lost to Yokohama BC at home 77-92. Shimane SM unfortunately lost to San-en NP on the opponent's court 92-99.



Chiba Jets - Nagoya DD 87-86

The most exciting game of round 20 in the B1 League took place in Chiba. Ryukyu looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 17 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists.
