Robots keep Franks for another season

Robert Franks

Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots (B1 League) re-signed 28-year-old American 205cm forward Robert Franks (college: WSU) for the upcoming season. He was a team leader there last season. In 58 B1 League games, he recorded very impressive stats: 15.9ppg, 7.5rpg, and 2.3apg. The previous (2024) summer, he played for Suns in the U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League.
He is a very experienced player. Franks has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (Adelaide 36ers and Bullets), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), NBA (Orlando Magic and Charlotte Hornets), Japan (Dolphins), NBA G League (Stockton, Greensboro Swarm and Osceola Magic) and NBA Summer League (Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks).
Between his college years, Franks received the All-Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year award and was voted to All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in 2018. He also won the NBA G League championship title in 2021.
He graduated from Washington State University in 2019 and it'll be his seventh season in pro basketball.
