Experienced Nigerian-American Maxie Esho (206-F/C-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for Saitama Broncos and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 51.
The 32-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Tachikawa (#9, 25-25) 91-87. Broncos maintains the 4th position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Saitama will need more victories to improve their 34-16 record. Esho turned to be Broncos's top player in his first season with the team. Maxie Esho averages this season 15.3ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Lithuanian power forward Rokas Gustys (206-F/C-1994) of Shanan United. Gustys impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Shanan Utd to edge the lower-ranked Gifu (#12, 20-31) by 4 points 78-74. This victory allowed Shanan Utd to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 25-25 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gustys is a newcomer at Shanan Utd and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Jeremy Combs (201-C/F-1995) of Tokushima Gambarous (#5). Combs scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Combs' great performance the Gambarous lost 72-75 to the lower-ranked Okayama (#13, 18-32). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tokushima Gam. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 31 victories and 19 lost games. Combs has a very solid season. In 48 games in Japan he scored 18.0ppg. He also has 8.6rpg and a FGP of 65.2%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
