American Guard Tray Boyd III (193-G-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Fukui Blowinds, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 47.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed Yamaguchi (#15, 15-31) with 40-point margin 121-81. It allowed Blowinds to consolidate first place in the Japanese B3 League. Fukui B. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 40-4. In the team's last game Boyd III had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Blowinds's top player in his first season with the team. Former East Tennessee State University star has very solid stats this year. Boyd III is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.9ppg. Boyd III is in league's top in and averages impressive 54.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Baylee Steele (213-C-1997, agency: One Motive Sports) of Gifu Swoops. Steele had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Swoops lost that game 89-97 to the higher-ranked Kagoshima (#2, 35-12). This loss caused Gifu to drop to 12th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 18-28 record. Steele is a newcomer at Gifu, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#7). He also registered 11.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Latvian center Klavs Cavars (208-C-1996) of Yokohama Excellence (#6). Cavars scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Excellence, leading his team to a 87-80 win against slightly higher-ranked Saitama (#5, 30-16). Yokohama needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 28 victories and 18 lost games. Cavars has a great season in Japan. After 44 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (6th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 59.6%.
