Senegalese Forward Dou Gueye (206-F-1997) had a great game in the last round for Kanazawa Samuraiz, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 44.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Gifu (#11, 18-26) with 26-point margin 116-90. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Kanazawa maintains the 18th position in Japanese B3 League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 29 games and recorded just six victories. In the team's last game Gueye had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Kanazawa's top player in his first season with the team. Dou Gueye averages this season 12.3ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Kanazawa's star - young American Chris Olivier (202-F-1992, agency: Octagon Europe). Olivier had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 10 assists. Of course together with Gueye he helped Kanazawa Samuraiz with another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Gifu (#11, 18-26) 116-90. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kanazawa is still at the dead bottom 18th position. 29 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Kanazawa managed to get this year. Olivier is a newcomer at Kanazawa, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#4). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward AJ Bramah (201-F-1999) of Gifu Swoops (#11). Bramah showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Swoops, leading his team to a 98-73 easy win against the lower-ranked Kanazawa (#18, 6-29). The chances of Gifu ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 26 games, recording just eighteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bramah could help Gifu to bring them higher in the standings. Bramah has a great season in Japan. After 42 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.9ppg (5th best).
