American Swingman Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-G/F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kagoshima Rebnise, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 41.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Tachikawa (#8, 21-19) 97-87. Kagoshima maintains the 3rd position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kagoshima will need more victories to improve their 29-12 record. In the team's last game Gaines Jr. had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Kagoshima, through which he has constantly improved. Anthony Gaines Jr. averages this season 18.3ppg and 7.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Michael Craig (196-G/F-1991) of Tokyo United. Craig had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as United was edged by the lower-ranked Gifu (#11, 17-23) 73-72. Tokyo Utd managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 22-16 record is not bad and everything may still change. Craig is well-known at Tokyo Utd and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.4ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 5.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-F-1995, agency: BIG) of Shanan United (#10). Antypov got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . Despite Antypov's great performance the Shanan Utd lost 93-96 to Tokyo Z (17-23). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Antypov has a very solid season. In 40 games in Japan he scored 17.3ppg. He also has 8.0rpg and a FGP of 56.5%.
