Boyd III's 41-point game gives him B3 League Player of the Week award

25-year old American guard Tray Boyd III (193-G-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Fukui Blowinds and receives a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 37.
He had the game-high 41 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Fukui B. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kagoshima (#3, 27-12) 103-89. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Blowinds to consolidate first place in the Japanese B3 League. Fukui B. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 33-3. In the team's last game Boyd III had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Blowinds's top player in his first season with the team. East Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Boyd III is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.0ppg. Boyd III is in league's top in and averages solid 55.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jacob Lampkin (206-F-1996) of Earthfriends Tokyo Z. He is American forward in his first season at Tokyo Z. In the last game Lampkin recorded an impressive double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Earthfriends to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Shinagawa (#16, 11-27) 87-67. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Tokyo Z dropped in the standings to 12th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 16-22 record. Lampkin is a newcomer at Tokyo Z and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Jelan-Miguel Kendrick (201-G/F-1991) of Yamaguch Pats Five (#14). Kendrick got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Pats Five, leading his team to a 90-75 easy win against the lower-ranked Toyoda (#17, 9-27). The chances of Yamaguchi not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 25 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kendrick could try to bring Yamaguchi's a little bit higher in the standings. Kendrick has a very solid season. In 26 games in Japan he scored 18.0ppg. He also has 7.6rpg, 3.2apg and a FGP of 54.3%.
