50 points in the Japanese league scored by 29 year old American forward Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. It happened in the Japanese league game when his team the Magic beat the Osaka Evessa 111 to 82. Buford also added 14 rebounds and 12 assists that evening. He was also awarded Player Of the Week in the Japanese League. Buford is the 2nd best scorer in the league averaging over 22 points and almost 9 rebounds per game.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Buford tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Australia (Bullets), China (Sturgeons), Italy (Agrigento), Puerto Rico (Grises), Russia (Avtodor), Spain (Joventut), and Turkey (Gaziantep and Yesilgiresun). He was also selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Forward of the Year in 2023.
His team made it to the Japanese B League Semifinals in 2022.
