Oleksandr Antypov is a newcomer at Shanan Utd

B3 League newcomer Shanan United strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203cm-98kg-1995, agency: BIG) for season 2023-24. Antypov played most recently at Kanazawa. In 51 B3 League games in Japan he was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 22.2ppg and had 10.5rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg last season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D3 All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
His team was regular season runner-up in Ukrainian Superleague in 2017 and 2019.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Khimik in Ukrainian Superleague where in 26 games he recorded 6.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg in that year.
He represented Ukraine at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 9 games: 14.6ppg, Reb-2 (10.4rpg), 1.2spg, FGP: 42.2%, 3PT: 43.2%, FT: 72.5%.
Antypov has played previously for five other Ukrainian teams: BC Donetsk, Hoverla, BK Donetsk 2nd team, BK Dnipro 2nd team and Prometey. His team was regular season runner-up in Ukrainian Superleague in 2017 and 2019.
