Yokohama B-Corsairs (B1 League) tabbed 30-year old American 203cm forward Jarrod Uthoff (college: Iowa) for new season. Uthoff played most recently at Kyoto Hannaryz. In 60 B1 League games in Japan he averaged impressive 17.2ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg and 1.4bpg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Honorable Mention.
The previous (2022) summer he played at the Warriors in NBA where in four games he had 5.0ppg and 5.5rpg in 2022 year.
Uthoff is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Uthoff has played previously professionally in Russia (Zenit), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers), Japan (SeaHorses Mikawa), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Raptors 905 Missisauga, Memphis Hustle and Erie BH) and NBA Summer League (Detroit Pistons).
Among many awards he won NBA G League Midwest Division championship title in 2020. He was also selected to CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-America of the Year back in 2016.
Uthoff graduated from University of Iowa in 2016 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: A natural scorer who can hit the basket very easily even from behind the 3pts arch. Also, has very good offensive moves inside and beats well his opponent in 1-vs-1 situations. Defensively, he's very effective despite being lanky and has a good timing to block the opponents' shots. Understands the game very well, but he's not a big passer, neither a great athlete.

Yokohama B-Corsairs roster for 2023-24:

Forwards:
Devin Oliver
Jarrod Uthoff

Centers:
Edward Morris
Josh Scott
