Toyama Grouses ink Nigel Spikes, ex Al-Hala

Toyama-Grouses (B1 League) agreed terms with 33-year old American center Nigel Spikes (208cm-104kg-1989, college: Marshall). Spikes started the season at Al-Hala in Bahrain Premier League.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Spikes tasted the life as pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Rainmen), Mexico (Manzaneros), New Zealand (Saints), Venezuela, Japan (Fukuoka Rizing, Aisin AW Areions Anjo, Akita Northern Happinets, Fukushima and Earthfriends Tokyo Z) and FBA (Miami M.). Spikes won FBA championship title in 2014 and 2015.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D3 All-Imports Team back in 2020.
He graduated from Marshall University in 2013 and it is his tenth season as a professional player.
