Kyoto Hannaryz (B1 League) added to their roster 29-year old American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203cm-90kg-1993, college: Iowa) for new 2022-23 season. Uthoff played this summer at GS Warriors in the NBA Summer League. In four games just recently he recorded 5.0ppg and 5.5rpg. The last season he played at Sea Horses in Japanese B1 League where in 47 games he averaged 12.7ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3bpg. Quite impressive season as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Uthoff tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Russia (Zenit), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (Texas Legends, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Raptors 905 Missisauga, Memphis Hustle and Erie BH) and NBA Summer League (Detroit Pistons).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won NBA G League Midwest Division championship title in 2020. Uthoff was also selected CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-America of the Year back in 2016.
He graduated from University of Iowa in 2016 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
On Uthoff: A natural scorer who can hit the basket very easily even from behind the 3pts arch. Also, has very good offensive moves inside and beats well his opponent in 1-vs-1 situations. Defensively, he's very effective despite being lanky and has a good timing to block the opponents' shots. Understands the game very well, but he's not a big passer, neither a great athlete.

Kyoto Hannaryz roster for 2022-23:

Guards:
Zack Moore
Kanta Mizuno
Ryuji Aoki
Tomomasa Ozawa

Forward:
Jarrod Uthoff

Coach: Roy Rana
