Long is one of the most experienced players at Hokkaido L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.4ppg (#2). He also registered 9.4 boards per game. The third best performed player last round was American Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) of second-ranked Shimane SM. Buford got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Shimane SM, leading his team to a 95-74 easy win against the lower-ranked Kyoto H. (#10, 8-29). Shimane SM needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 26 victories and 9 lost games. Buford has a very solid season.
