Best players of Japanese B1 League round 41

Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Alvark Tokyo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 41.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 34 points and twenty three rebounds, while his team outclassed Niigata A. (#11, 5-32) with 29-point margin 93-64. Alvark Tokyo maintains the 2nd position in their group in Japanese B1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Alvark Tokyo will need more victories to improve their 26-8 record. In the team's last game Saiz had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Alvark Tokyo, through which he has constantly improved. The University of Mississippi graduate has very impressive stats this year. Saiz leads league in rebounds with 11.9rpg. Saiz is in league's top in and averages solid 58.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Shawn Long (208-F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Hokkaido L.. Long impressed basketball fans with 44 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Hokkaido L. lost that game 94-103 to the higher-ranked Shinshu BW (#5, 19-19). Hokkaido L. managed to keep the same 9th spot in West. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-22 record. Long is one of the most experienced players at Hokkaido L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.4ppg (#2). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) of second-ranked Shimane SM. Buford got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Shimane SM, leading his team to a 95-74 easy win against the lower-ranked Kyoto H. (#10, 8-29). Shimane SM needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 26 victories and 9 lost games. Buford has a very solid season. In 30 games in Japan he scored 18.0ppg. He also has 7.0rpg, 4.8apg and FGP: 51.3%.
