American Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-F-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Chiba, receiving a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 41.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed Tokyo HT (#9, 17-15) with 34-point margin 99-65. Chiba is placed at 2nd position in Japanese B3 League. They are still close to the very top. Chiba would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 26-4 record. Kotzur has many years of experience at Chiba, through which he has constantly improved. Former Saint Mary's University, Texas star has very solid stats this year. Kotzur is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 12.3rpg) and averages impressive 67.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Marcus Dove (206-PF-1985) of Aisin AW. Dove had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Aisin AW cruised to a 91-83 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Yamaguchi (#12, 11-25). This victory allowed Aisin AW to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 20-14 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dove is one of the most experienced players at Aisin AW and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Ryan Stephan (208-C-1994) of Shizuoka (#5). Stephan showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Shizuoka, leading his team to a 103-70 easy win against the lower-ranked Shinagawa (#14, 3-31). Shizuoka needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 21 victories and 9 lost games. Stephan has a very solid season. In 30 games in Japan he scored 14.2ppg. He also has 9.2rpg and FGP: 59.7%.
