Andrew Fitzgerald

Ehime Orange Vikings (B2 League) signed 30-year old American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202cm-108kg-90, college: Oklahoma) for the upcoming 2021-22 season. It is actually his comeback to Orange Vikings as he has played here before. Fitzgerald played last season at FE Nagoya in the B2 League. In 58 games he had very impressive stats: 18.2ppg, 5.8rpg, and 1.9apg. He helped them to end the regular season as the second-best team in B League D2 West Division. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week.

The previous (2020) summer he played at Sideline Cancer in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.

He has played on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and of course North America). Fitzgerald has played previously professionally also in France (Poitiers), Poland, and Japan (Bambitious Nara and Kanazawa).

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D3 Center of the Year back in 2017.

He attended the University of Oklahoma until 2013 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.

He could be described: A workhorse in the paint and very physical. Can play either the 4 or 5 spots effectively and brings true energy to the floor. Due to the transfer of OU coach Capel he saw limited mins. But has a great upside. As a HS senior Ranked No. 68 overall by ESPN.com coming out of High School. Regarded as No. 9 center in 2009 recruiting class by Rivals.com.
