Sendai 89ers land Jerome Meyinsse, ex I.Nes-Ziona

Sendai 89ers (B2 League) landed 32-year old American 208cm center Jerome Meyinsse, college: Virginia for new season. Meyinsse played most recently at I.Nes-Ziona in Israeli Winner League. He managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 29 Winner League games he averaged 14.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.2apg and 1.4bpg. He also played 7 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 14.3ppg and 7.6rpg. Meyinsse helped them to win the cup. He can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup 2nd Team. And finally he contributed to 1 game in Balkan League where he got impressive 21 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block. The last summer he played at Aaguacateros (LNBP) in Mexican league. In 27 games he got remarkable 16.5ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.6apg.
He has played also professionally in Argentina (Atenas, Regatas Corrientes, Sionista, Sportivo 9 de Julio Rio Tercero and San Lorenzo), Brazil (Flamengo) and Venezuela (Trotamundos).
Among many awards he won Argentinian La Liga championship title in 2019. Meyinsse was also selected to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian LigaA Center of the Year back in 2018.
He attended University of Virginia until 2010 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
