Toyota A. - Eneos S. 70-60

Toyota Antelopes celebrated WJBL title. They held off Eneos Sunflowers in Game 2 of the title series to complete the sweep. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Eneos S. managed to win fourth quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Toyota A. outrebounded Eneos S. 53-38 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Eneos S. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (182-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. The former international point guard Yasuma Shiori (161-94) contributed with 4 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Toyota A.'s coach Lucas Mondelo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Saori Miyazaki (167-95) replied with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international power forward Yunika Nakamura (178-95) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Eneos S.

Sunflowers clinched Empress's Cup 2020 title in Japan. In the Final game they edged Toyota Antelopes 87-80. Trailing 18-27 at the end of the first period, Sunflowers needed a strong second half to seal the trophy. They scored 23 points in each of the next period to grab the victory.
Sayaka Okamoto (161-G-91) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-93, college: Queens, NY) as well as Yunika Nakamura (178-F/C-95) poured in 18 points each. Evelyn Mawuli (180-C/F-95) answered with 22 points in the losing effort.
