Regular Season Round 19: Chanson V-M - Eneos S. 81-69

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Eneos S. (14-1) in Shizuoka on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Chanson V-M (7-8) 81-69. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Eneos S.. It was a great evening for point guard Kuke Haruka (166-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Mai Yoshida (175-98) helped adding 19 points. Chanson V-M's coach YuTzu Li used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Aiko Ishihara (179-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Saori Miyazaki (167-95) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Five Chanson V-M and four Eneos S. players scored in double figures. Chanson V-M have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place in East with 7-8 record. Defending champion Eneos S. still keeps top position with one game lost. Chanson V-M are again looking forward to face league's leader Eneos S. in Kashiwa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eneos S. will have a break next round.
