Al Hilla - AL-Adhamiya 61-88 12th ranked Al Hilla (1-16) was outscored at home by eleventh ranked AL-Adhamiya (4-15) with the biggest margin this round 88-61 on Thursday night. AL-Adhamiya held Al Hilla to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was point guard Rasheed Al-Ammari (163-94) who scored 29 points. Hayder Khudhair chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Five AL-Adhamiya players scored in double figures. Five Nift Al-Shamal players scored in double figures. Even 33 points (!!!) by Rekan Abdulla did not help to save the game for Ghaz Al-Shamal. Khalid Sultan added 16 points and 15 rebounds. Newly promoted Nift Al-Shamal maintains seventh position with 7-11 record. Ghaz Al-Shamal at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Nift Al-Shamal will play against higher ranked Zakho (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ghaz Al-Shamal will have a break next round.
