The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An interesting game took place in Kirku where 7th ranked Al-Tadamoun (5-8) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Ghaz Al-Shamal (4-12) 82-75 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Al-Tadamoun 53-38 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ali Fadhil (202-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and Rekan Abdulla who added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Hussein Al-Murshedi with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ghaz Al-Shamal maintains tenth position with 4-12 record. Al-Tadamoun lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Ghaz Al-Shamal will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al-Tadamoun will play on the road against Nift Al-Shamal (#9) in Kirkuk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 24 bottom-ranked Al Hilla lost to Nift Al-Shamal on the opponent's court 83-89.

Nift Al-Shamal - Al Hilla 89-83

Rather expected game in Kirkuk where 12th ranked Al Hilla (1-13) was defeated by ninth ranked Nift Al-Shamal (4-10) 89-83 on Tuesday. Strangely Al Hilla outrebounded Nift Al-Shamal 37-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Brwa Hama Saeed who helped to win the game recording 24 points and guard Bahaa Sabri (170-95) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward AlaA Abed (195-87) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Mohammed Abbas (178-1) scored 29 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Nift Al-Shamal maintains ninth position with 4-10 record. Al Hilla lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Nift Al-Shamal are looking forward to face higher ranked Al-Tadamoun (#7) in Najef in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al Hilla will play on the road against Zakho (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
