Mahram - Raad 89-74 An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tehran. Second ranked Mahram faced 4th ranked Raad. Host Mahram (7-1) defeated guests from Mashhad (3-5) 89-74. Mahram dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Raad's 38. They outrebounded Raad 49-33 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mahram players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Adnan Douraghi replied with 21 points and 4 assists and Eshagh Hatamifar added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Raad. Four Mahram and five Raad players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mahram have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record behind leader Chemidor. Raad at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Chemidor (8-1) smashed visiting Foolad (2-7) by 21 points 98-77. Chemidor looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Foolad's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Foolad helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Hamed Hosseinzadeh (186-87) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 assists for the winners. The former international center Mohammad Yousofvand (207-96, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Chemidor players scored in double figures. Pooria Khalifeh produced 16 points and Payam Kiani added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Foolad's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Chemidor have a solid three-game winning streak. Both fifth ranked Parsa and 6th ranked Exxon SC had identical 3-5 record. This time Parsa used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Teheran 80-65 on Saturday night. Parsa (4-5) moved-up to fourth place. Loser Exxon SC keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Naft Abadan.
