Regular Season Round 16: Mahram - Raad 89-74

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tehran. Second ranked Mahram faced 4th ranked Raad. Host Mahram (7-1) defeated guests from Mashhad (3-5) 89-74. Mahram dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Raad's 38. They outrebounded Raad 49-33 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mahram players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Adnan Douraghi replied with 21 points and 4 assists and Eshagh Hatamifar added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Raad. Four Mahram and five Raad players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mahram have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record behind leader Chemidor. Raad at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
