Qazvin - Gorgan 62-95 An interesting game for Gorgan (13-0) which played road game in Qazvin against 4th ranked Qazvin (5-7). Top-ranked Gorgan had an easy win 95-62. Gorgan looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Qazvin's players. International Mohammad Jamshidi (199-91) notched 27 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Navid Rezaeifar (185-96) supported him with 17 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by American-German center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon) did not help to save the game for Qazvin. The former international guard Ehsan Dalirzahan (186-0) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorgan have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Khouzestan dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Raad's 20. Khouzestan had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Mohammad Seydi who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Arash Sabeti contributed with 22 points for the winners. Saleh Moradian replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Sajad Salmani added 16 points in the effort for Raad. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khouzestan (2-11) moved-up to seventh place. Raad lost seventh consecutive game. They outrebounded Raad 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Gorgan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Ashkan Jafari fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yasin Kolahsangiani (200-92) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Eighth ranked Khouzestan (2-11) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Qazvin (5-7) 89-87 on Sunday evening. Khouzestan shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Qazvin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Chris Ware (203-89, college: Indiana Tech) scored 26 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Ali Doraghi (210-84) chipped in 9 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest.
