This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 8th ranked RANS PIK (3-5) to leader Pelita Jaya (7-0) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pelita Jaya made 7 blocks. Undefeated Pelita Jaya have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. RANS PIK at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Rajawali. Pelita Jaya are looking forward to face Tangerang (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. RANS PIK will play against Satya Wacana in Salatiga and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Jakarta: Satria Muda (#2) and Hangtuah (#5). Satria Muda (7-1) crushed visiting Hangtuah (5-4) by 20 points 77-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hangtuah. American forward Jalen Jones (202-1993, college: Texas A&M, agency: Haylett Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Jordan Ivy-Curry accounted for 18 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for Hangtuah in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Satria Muda maintains second place with 7-1 record having just one point less than leader Pelita Jaya, which they share with Borneo. Hangtuah at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Satria Muda's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Jakarta Kesatria.

This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to sixth ranked Tangerang (4-3) 87-84 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Joao Franca who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 22 rebounds. Tangerang's coach Antonius Endratmo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was AJ Bramah who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tangerang. They maintain sixth place with 4-3 record. Pacific Caesar lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Tangerang will meet at home league's leader Pelita Jaya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pacific Caesar will play against Satya Wacana (#10) in Salatiga and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 9: winless Pacific Caesar lost to RANS PIK on the opponent's court 83-101. Kesatria managed to outperform Dewa United in a home game 95-84. Kesatria rolled over Pacific Caesar on the road 93-68. Winless Satya Wacana was crushed by Borneo on its own court 75-99.
