An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gor Merpati. First ranked Pelita Jaya faced 3rd ranked Simba Bogor. Guests from Jakarta (17-3) defeated host Simba Bogor (15-4) 90-72. Pelita Jaya dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Simba Bogor's 40. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pelita Jaya made 10 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson, agency: JCK Sports Group) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Jaquori McLaughlin (193-1998, college: UCSB, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Forward KJ Buffen (201-2000, college: UAB, agency: Diamond Sports) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelita Jaya have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-3 record. Simba Bogor at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Pelita Jaya's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Jakarta Rajawali.

Bima Perkasa managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 in the fight for the twelfth place. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of Kierell Green who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side Xavier Cannefax responded with 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Bima Perkasa maintains twelfth position with 4-17 record. Bali Utd. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Bima Perkasa will meet higher ranked Kesatria BS (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bali Utd. will play against Prawira (#7) in Bandung and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 16 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Bima Perkasa defeated Satya Wacana in Sakti 69-66. Hangtuah smashed Bali Utd. at home 82-59. Pacific Caesar won against Hangtuah on the opponent's court 97-91. Satya Wacana unfortunately lost to Borneo in a home game 78-81.
The best stats of 16th round was 34 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 9 assists by Isaiah Briscoe of Borneo.



Rajawali - Kesatria BS 63-62

Bottom-ranked Rajawali managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they edged sixth-ranked Kesatria BS in Jakarta 63-62.
