IBL Round 14: Pelita Jaya beat Indonesia P. in a derby game

There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Jakarta: Pelita Jaya (#1) and Indonesia P. (#2). Pelita Jaya (15-1) won against visiting Indonesia P. (10-5) 75-70. Pelita Jaya forced 22 Indonesia P. turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Agassi Goantara (189-99) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. International center Vincent Kosasih (202-96) chipped in 13 points and 15 rebounds. Dame Diagne produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Kevin Argadiba scored 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Antoni Erga responded with 22 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Satria Muda (13-2) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Satya Wacana lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with NSH. Satria Muda will meet league's second-placed Bali Utd. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Satya Wacana will have a break next round.

Reggie Mononimbar notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pelita Jaya (15-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Hang Tuah at the other side keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost.

WBS looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Pringgo Regowo (190-87) who scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Rio Disi (186-92) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Forward Ramdhan Yuwana (201-98) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and Calvin Chrissler (175-98) added 14 points respectively for the hosts.
