Samuel Deguara claims East Asia Super League Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced Maltese Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Naic Aces and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 33-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat KCC Egis (#5, 1-4) 89-78. ACES is placed at 2nd position in East Asia Super League. ACES is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. Deguara just recently signed at ACES, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Deguara has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 12.8rpg) and averages solid 60.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-C-1992) of KCC Egis. Lalanne impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Egis lost that game 78-89 to the higher-ranked Macau BB (#2, 3-3). KCC Egis managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Egis managed to get this year. Lalanne is a newcomer at KCC Egis and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Chris McLaughlin (208-C-1992) of Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions (#3). McLaughlin showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of HK Eastern, leading his team to a 84-74 win against SM Beermen (#5, 0-5). HK Eastern needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. McLaughlin has a great season in East Asia Super League. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.2rpg (2nd best).

8. Celedonio Trollano (191-G-1992) of SM Beermen - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Adonis Thomas (197-F-1993) of Macau BB - 23 points and 7 rebounds
10. Hayden Blankley (198-F/G-2000) of HK Eastern - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
