The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Taiwanese Pilots as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pilots defeated 4th placed Macau Macau BB in Taoyuan 104-86. Pilots dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Macau BB's 34. They outrebounded Macau BB 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Macau BB's players. American center Alec Brown (216-1992, college: Green Bay) fired 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. chipped in 26 points and 6 assists. Pilots' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Damian Chong-Qui (173-1998, college: PFW) produced 25 points and 7 assists for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
