Omoefay Johnson claims East Asia Super League Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Omoefay Johnson (206-F-1999, agency: Diamond Sports) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Xac Broncos Ulaanbaatar and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 32 points adding nine rebounds for Xac Broncos in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team LG Sakers (#4, 0-2) with 28-point margin 105-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Broncos to consolidate first place in the East Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Xac Broncos already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Broncos' top player in his first season with the team. Southern Methodist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (8th best: 25.3ppg), rebounds (4th best: 13.7rpg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cuban center Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) of Meralco Bolts. Romero impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Bolts cruised to a 85-76 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Pilots (#1, 2-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Meralco Bolts consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Romero is a newcomer at Meralco Bolts and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Xac Broncos' star - Azbayar Altangerel (202-F-2005). Altangerel showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Xac Broncos Ulaanbaatar, helping his team with a 105-77 easy win against #4 ranked LG Sakers. Broncos started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Altangerel turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Altangerel has a very solid season. In 3 games in East Asia Super League he scored 11.7ppg.
