On June 4, Beijing time, the 2026 China Men's Basketball Team warm-up game in Changsha continued. Hosting at home, the Chinese team narrowly lost to FMP Radnički of Serbia, falling 81-82 after four quarters. The Chinese team was outscored by 14 points in the final quarter.

The quarter-by-quarter scores were 21-18, 21-16, 25-20, and 14-28 (China listed first). For China, Pang Zhenglin scored 17 points with 3 rebounds and 3 assists, Liao Sanning added 17 points and 4 rebounds, Zhao Jiayi contributed 11 points and 3 rebounds, Zhao Weilun had 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Wang Junjie recorded 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Xu Xin completed a one-handed dunk to open the game, and both teams were tied 4-4 early on. Pang Zhenglin drove to the basket for two points, but FMP Radnički responded with a 7-point run to take the lead. Liao Sanning scored three points through field goals and free throws, sparking a run that put China back ahead. Before the end of the quarter, Zhao Weilun missed a three-pointer, but Jiao Boqiao grabbed an offensive rebound and converted it into a layup. At the end of the first quarter, China led 21-18.

In the second quarter, China opened with consecutive baskets to build a 7-point lead, forcing a timeout from their opponents. Liao Sanning hit a buzzer-beater layup at the 24-second mark, followed by Wang Junjie adding two more points, extending China's lead to over 10 points. Pang Zhenglin drained a three-pointer to further widen the gap. FMP Radnički answered with a 7-0 run to cut the deficit. Zhao Weilun then sank a three-pointer, giving China a 42-34 halftime lead. Pang Zhenglin had accumulated 11 points in the first two quarters.

In the third quarter, Liao Sanning made a jump shot from just beyond the three-point line, followed by Zhao Jiayi hitting a three-pointer, putting China ahead by double digits again. Pang Zhenglin remained hot, driving from the middle for a layup and drawing a foul. Head coach Guo Shiqiang made several substitutions, with Wang Junjie and Jiang Weize each making three-pointers. Jiang Weize attempted a long-range three from behind the arc, but after review, officials ruled it was a violation due to a timeout call. By the end of the third quarter, China led 67-54.

In the fourth quarter, Liu Jinyu drew a foul and made both free throws. FMP Radnički responded with a scoring run to narrow the gap to four points, prompting Guo Shiqiang to call a timeout. Pang Zhenglin converted a 2+1 play to break China's scoring drought. Wang Junjie got involved in a physical altercation with an opponent; after deliberation, the referee assessed a technical foul on Wang, and the opposing player was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. After Zhao Weilun made both of his free throws, FMP Radnički tied the game. With 10.9 seconds remaining, FMP Radnički committed a foul, and Liao Sanning made one of two free throws. In the final possession, FMP Radnički secured the win with a clutch layup as time expired.
