Beijing D. - Shanghai S. 85-99

Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Qatari Brandon Goodwin (188-1995, college: FGCU) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Sharks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and Taiwanese point guard Ray Chen (182-1993, college: Liberty) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The winners were led by American Barry Brown Jr. (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Rayjon Tucker (191-1997, college: UALR) supported him with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guangsha Lions' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Josh Christopher (195-2001, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Leopards. The former international forward Haoran Wang (205-2004) added 17 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
