The Regular Season in CBA is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most important game in the last round took place in Hangzhou between second ranked Guangsha Lions (29-8) and fifth ranked Guandong Tigers (26-12) on Sunday night. Guangsha Lions were defeated by Guandong Tigers in a tough game at home 85-91. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guangsha Lions. Guangdong ST looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Trevelin Queen (197-1997, college: NM State) who scored 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import guard Tahjere McCall (193-1994, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. American Barry Brown Jr. (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) produced 21 points for the hosts. Guangsha Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Guangdong ST moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Guangsha L. keeps the second position with eight games lost. Guangdong ST are looking forward to face Ningbo R. (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Guangsha L. will play against Shanxi L. (#11) in Taiyuan and is hoping to win this game.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Beijing. First ranked Sharks faced 4th ranked Ducks. Guests from Shanghai (34-4) defeated host Ducks (25-13) 88-83. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ducks. The former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. Kyle Fogg contributed with 36 points (!!!) for the winners. Taiwanese point guard Ray Chen (182-1993, college: Liberty) replied with 16 points and 9 assists for Beijing D.Ducks' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sharks have an impressive five-game winning streak. Shanghai maintains first position with 34-4 record. Beijing D. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 13 games lost. Shanghai will play against Guangzhou (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing D. will play against Qingdao E. (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Blue Whales (0-38) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 126-113 loss to third ranked Leopards (27-11) in Sichuan on Monday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Terquavion Smith who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Leopards' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyle Vinales responded with 39 points (!!!) and 16 assists. Leopards have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Shenzhen L. maintains third position with 27-11 record having seven points less than leader Shanghai S. Loser Blue Whales still closes the standings. Shenzhen L. will meet Xinjiang (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sichuan will play against Tianjin P. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Rest of the games of round 44 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Xinjiang was beaten by Tianjin P. in a road game 100-98.
