Mickey's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

31-year old American power forward Jordan Mickey (203-F/C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for Qingdao Eagles and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 42.
He had a double-double of 36 points and 15 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Guangdong ST (#5, 25-12) 105-110. Eagles maintains the 8th position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Qingdao E. will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 22-15 record. In the team's last game Mickey had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Eagles and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Louisiana State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Mickey leads league in rebounds with 11.4rpg. Mickey is in league's top in and averages solid 1.9bpg and 57.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Brandon Goodwin (188-SG-1995) of top-ranked Shanghai Sharks. He is American-Qatari guard in his first season at Shanghai S.. In the last game Goodwin recorded an impressive 32 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Sharks to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Ningbo R. (#10, 19-18) 119-97. Of course Shanghai still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 33 matches. Goodwin is a newcomer at Shanghai and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Qingdao E.'s star - guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-G-1996). Weatherspoon got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and seven assists. Despite Weatherspoon's great performance the Qingdao Eagles lost 105-110 to the higher-ranked Guangdong ST (#5, 25-12). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing Eagles needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 22 victories and 15 lost games. Weatherspoon has a great season in China. After 35 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.4ppg (4th best) and assists with 5.9apg (8th best).
