Shanghai outrebounded Sichuan 44-23 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Sichuan's players. It was a good game for the former international guard Hongquan Li (198-2001) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) contributed with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Wenxue Yang (205-1999) answered with 24 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for Sichuan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Shanghai maintains first place with 27-4 record. Sichuan at the other side still closes the standings.
