Ariel Atkins signs at Jiangsu

Ariel Atkins

Jiangsu Yonglian Nanjing (WCBA) landed 29-year old USA ex-international 178cm point guard Ariel Atkins (college: Texas). She played recently at Gold Rush (AUPro) in the U.S. In three games she just recently played she averaged impressive 19.0ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.7apg, 3.0spg and 1.0bpg this season. She also played for another AUPro team Eclipse in U.S. semi-pro league AUPro. The other team she played shortly was another AUPro team Glow in U.S. semi-pro league AUPro.
In 2018 she was drafted by Washington Mystics (WNBA) in first round (7th overall).
The former University of Texas star is in her eighth season in pro basketball.
Atkins was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team between 2020 and 2024 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2014.
Atkins is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. Atkins has played professionally in Australia (Perth Lynx), Poland (PolskaStrefaInwestycji Enea Gorzow Wielkopolski), Turkey (Fenerbahce, Elazig Il and Izmit), Ukraine (Prometey) and WNBA (Chicago Sky). She won AUPro championship title in 2026.
Among many awards she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention back in 2022.
